AllerDetect tests for IgE allergies similar to scratch testing. Other IgE blood draws and scratch testing take no account of IgG blocking potential which AllerDetect provides. Most other food sensitivity tests only cover IgG, exposure immunoglobins which by themselves heavily limit the accuracy of food sensitivity diagnostics as they have false positives. Our test includes C3d + IgG which helps to eliminate false positives. False positives can result in malnutrition and serious dietary issues. What is the difference between Allergy and Sensitivity tests? Allergy testing from AllerDetect or Scratch Testing indicates damaging immune response by the body to a substance, especially pollen, animal dander, a particular food, moulds, or dust mite, to which it has become hypersensitive. Close contact with a very small amount of some allergens such as peanut and venom can potentially trigger a life-threatening reaction in some instances. With food sensitivity testing results can pinpoint offending foods that can cause intestinal gas, painful abdominal cramping or diarrhea through inflammation. While the symptoms of a food intolerance or sensitivity may cause extreme discomfort, they are confined to the gastrointestinal tract and are generally not life-threatening.

  • One of the most comprehensive allergy tests currently available

  • Addresses inconsistencies that surround ELISA tests and eliminates the high incidence of false-positives

  • Test can be performed at the clinic in a timely manner

  • Simple to use Dry Blood Spot test (DBS) – performed quickly, without the need to draw blood

  • DBS testing eliminates storage, transportation and usability constraints associated with other types of samples

  • Selection of test profiles including DIETARY, ENVIRONMENTAL, MOULD AND VENOM

  • Profiles designed to be centered on allergen frequency

  • Results in 10 – 14 days.
